Here's What It Does In My Roofing Business.
I don't sell anything I haven't used myself. These are the actual numbers from my roofing company, Early Bird Roofing.

"We started at 2,500 a month. Then 5,000. Then 10,000. Then 20,000. Now 50,000. Every time we scaled the mail, revenue followed. Direct mail is the most consistent and the most scalable channel I've ever used."
These results are from my roofing business in my market. Your numbers will be different — they depend on your service, your area, your offer, and how well you close. The calculator above lets you estimate returns based on your own numbers.

Everything You Need to Know
Before You Order.
Our services include design, printing, and shipping them to your front door. Every flyer is printed on upgraded 7 PT premium stock paper — the same stock used by $100M+ roofing companies running EDDM at scale. They come pre-bundled in stacks of 100, which is exactly how USPS requires them. Once we ship them to you, we send you a video showing you how to pick your routes and how to mail them. It's not complicated once you do it once.
EDDM stands for Every Door Direct Mail. It's a USPS program that lets you mail to every household on a postal route — no mailing list needed. You go to USPS.com, type in the zip code you want to target, and it shows you every available route with household counts, average income, and more. You pick your routes, bundle your flyers, and drop them off at the post office. USPS delivers them to every door on those routes. It's the most scalable way to get in front of homeowners in your service area.
Postage is paid directly to USPS when you drop off your flyers at the post office. We always recommend paying at the post office — that way if you need to change your drop-off date or switch routes, they don't already have your money. The USPS route selection tool shows you exactly how many mailboxes are on each route and the approximate postage cost before you commit to anything.
When you order, we send you a video walking you through the whole process. But in short — you go to the USPS EDDM online tool, type in your zip code, and it shows you every mailing route in that area. You can see the number of mailboxes, average household income, age brackets, and more. Our rule of thumb is to mail routes with $100,000+ average income, but it depends on your service. You click the routes you want, and the tool tells you exactly how many pieces you need and what postage will cost.
No — design is included. We design, print, and ship everything to you. These aren't random templates. Everything we sell has been tried and proven in Matt's own home service businesses for close to a decade. We don't list anything we haven't tested ourselves. If we don't believe in it, we don't list it.
We're die-hard postcard people too — they work. But we started testing these flyers after noticing a $200M+ roofing company was sending the exact same flyer-style mailer to Matt's neighborhood every 45 days. If they're sending the same thing every single time, there has to be a reason. So we tested it. Because it's on a white piece of paper with a handwritten-style note, people don't treat it like junk mail — every single person who called thought someone personally put it in their mailbox. It stands out from everything else in the stack. And they're slightly more affordable than a 6½x9 postcard.
Direct mail done consistently — same routes, every 30 days — typically returns between a quarter percent and half a percent response rate. We got a quarter percent return on our very first mailing in a high-ticket service (roofing). If you're in a lower-ticket service like pressure washing or painting, you're likely going to have an even higher call rate. In our roofing business right now, we're averaging about a 20x return — we put $1 in and it produces $20 in revenue. One closed roofing job pays for 20,000 mailers. The trick is consistency and having a strong offer. These are results from Matt's roofing business — your results will depend on your market, service, and close rate.
Send as many as you're willing to commit to for the next three to six months. If you can only order 1,000, order 1,000 and send 1,000 every 30 days. The more consistent you are with mailing these, the better the results get. Too many guys do 5,000 or 10,000 pieces one time, get an "okay" return, then never do it again — and that's why it didn't work. It's not a one and done. It's a forever thing. Start small, be consistent, and scale up as results come in.
We work with home service businesses all over the country — roofing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting, pressure washing, window cleaning, fence installation, gutter installation, garage door repair, lawn care, landscaping, pest control, and more. If your customers are homeowners in a specific area, this works. High-ticket services like roofing and HVAC tend to see the biggest ROI because one job covers the entire campaign cost, but lower-ticket services like pressure washing and lawn care typically get a higher call rate because more people can say yes to a lower price point.
Hit us up. You can DM Matt on Instagram, send an email, or call — everything gets answered personally. If you want help figuring out quantity, which routes to hit, or what offer to put on your flyer, we'll walk you through it. We've been doing direct mail for home service businesses for close to a decade — it's what we do.
